Hi,
Welcome onboard! When I started I did not have much pretty paper, scissors, glue and I used a lot of magazines to cut for embellishments. I did buy a papercutter really soon, I can't cut anything straight ;-)
What basics do you need?
Paper: You will need different types of paper, such as cardstock, construction paper, origami paper, etc., depending on the project you are working on.
Scissors: A good pair of scissors is essential for cutting paper accurately. Choose a pair that is comfortable to hold and has a sharp blade.
Glue: Glue is necessary to hold the paper pieces together. You can use a variety of glues, such as white glue, glue sticks, or tape.
Ruler: A ruler will help you measure and cut straight lines.
Pencil(s): A pencil is useful for sketching out your design or marking lines on the paper.
Optional supplies: Depending on the project you are working on, you may also want to have other supplies on hand, such as colored pencils or markers for coloring, a bone folder or score board for creasing and folding paper, or templates or patterns to use as a guide.
