Hey everyone!
I’ve been thinking about how cool and timeless snail mail is, so I wanted to start a thread for fun did you know facts about all things snail mail related.
DID YOU KNOW?
Japan has an underwater mailbox for divers to send waterproof postcards!
There's a cool underwater postbox in Japan, down in Susami Bay. It’s about 10 meters deep, and divers can actually send waterproof postcards from it. You write your message on special waterproof paper, dive down, and drop it in the box. A local diver collects the mail regularly and takes it to the post office, so it gets delivered like any other letter. It started as a way to attract tourists, but now it’s super popular with both divers and people who just love the idea of sending mail from the ocean.
Now it’s your turn! Have you come across any interesting postal facts? Maybe something about mail routes, stamps, or just a quirky tradition? Drop them here; we’d all love to learn more!

Did you know that there was a postage stamp language? When you put stamp crooked, it mean you love someone. When you put stamp upside down, it says you will remember someone.
